This large purse is knit circularly from a rectangular shaped base. Striping options are given in the pattern. Choose a worsted weight wool yarn that will felt when washed.

Yarn: 660 yards total of worsted weight wool. For striped bags, add one skein of a contrasting color. Samples used  3 skeins of Patons Classic Wool (223 yards/100g skein. The striped sample used 3 skeins of them main color and one skein of a contrasting color. Other choices include 3 skeins of either Cascade 220 (220 yards/100g skein) or Galway (210 yards/100g skein) for a solid color bag.

Needles: 24" long circular needle in size 10.5US. Double point needles size 10.5US

Finished measurements: Width is 11" - 12.5". Height is 10.5" - 12.5" without handles. Size depends on the yarn used. Purse body is essentially square after felting.
